  • Nico Van Bockstal is a seasoned Governance, Risk, and Compliance professional who has been based in the UAE since 2008. Before establishing Primo Advisors, Nico served as Director of GRC Services at Vistra and at Total Solutions Middle East.

    Prior to relocating to Dubai, he held senior compliance positions in Belgium, including Head of Compliance for Société Générale Private Banking Belgium and Bank J. Van Breda & Co.

    Nico holds a Master of Laws from KU Leuven, a European Master in Labour Sciences from UCL Belgium and University Toulouse 1, and a Law Teaching Degree from KU Leuven. He is also a certified compliance officer and has completed multiple professional qualifications in compliance and risk management.

    A native Dutch speaker, Nico is fluent in English and French, with a working understanding of German and Spanish.
